Disclaimer: This set is completely fictional and of my own doing. This has never happened nor asked of them and neither one has ever said these words…at least probably not out loud.
Around the time Vanishing Vision had been released, X decided to tour the country so with money earned, they all went in and bought a van. Though, only two members had a valid driver’s license at the time, Yoshiki and Hide (except he could only drive during the day due to poor sight at night.)
When Yoshiki was 8 years old, the first vinyl disc he bought with his own pocket money was from the classical section.
Side A - Beethoven’s Symphony Number 5 “The Destiny”
Side B - Schubert’s Symphony Number 8 “Unfinished”
When Yoshiki got his hair cut off by the teacher, he returned to his classes that day where he was teased and made fun by all his classmates throughout the day…including Toshi.
He was so humiliated that he had put his head down on his desk and started crying again. He couldn’t even sit through his after school orchestra practice after facing more teasing.
In April of 1997, Toshi announced to Yoshiki and the rest of the band that he wanted to leave the band. They decided altogether not to announce their disbanding right then to avoid problems with their label and causing a panic among the fans.
It did lead to a huge argument between Yoshiki and Toshi about it. Afterwards, it got so tense between the two that they couldn’t be around each other to talk to the other personally so when they HAD to communicate it was through management and office staff members.
